Sacro Chestplate

Chestplates begin with a black embroidered lace base. On top of that, another layer of lace. On top of that, the Sacro (that’s Italian for “sacred”) Chestplate gets a golden metal Sacred Heart nestled in a black velvet border. There’s a gold bouillon wire frame all around, making the Sacro one of the most elaborate Chestplates we have currently.
Everything is hand-sewn by me. Every. Single. One.
It’s a dramatic, luxurious accessory intended for men but is completely unisex. Chestplates were created as an alternative to “traditional” (and let’s face it, often quite boring) men’s neckwear. It’s a way to show the world who you really are. Rockstar the red carpet, prom, a wedding, or whatever dressy event you’re heading to. I can promise that no one will be wearing anything quite like it!
*The Sacred Heart – Catholicism played a huge role in late Italian paganism, so it is regarded as an ancient Christian symbol, a “heart of Jesus,” which is related to the cross (Latin cross). However, ancient Roman charms were depicted with a heart symbol too, suggesting that the element isn’t a new addition.
